Initiative Taken up for Industrialization of the District:

 i. Organization of Awareness campaign for motivation of entrepreneur to set up MSMEs.

ii. Motivational campaign in collaboration of MSME-DI, Odisha, Cutback.
iii. Celebration of Entrepreneur week.

iv. Moreover following committee have been constituted by Govt. for development of MSMEs.

v. Dist. Single Window Clearance Authority Committee under the Chairmanship of Collector and Dist. Magistrate, Angul for speedy disposal of applications of MSMEs..

vi. Dist. Level Shilpa Adalat under the Chairmanship of Collector and Dist. Magistrate, Angul for redressal of grievance of MSMEs.

vii. Dist. Level Committee for revival of sick Unit and preparation of packaged programme..

viii. District Level Core Group committee for efficient and optimum utilization of Fly Ash and Blast Furnace Slag under the Chairmanship of Collector.

ix. Plant Level Advisory Committee of each Public Sector undertaking under the Chairmanship of Chief Executive of the concerned Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) with GM, DIC as member convener for development of ancillary and downstream  industries & participation of local MSMEs in the purchase programme..

x. Plant Level Consultative Committee (PLCC) of large enterprises promoted under Private Sector for development of Ancillary and downstream industry.

xi. Organization of Road show for wide publicity of various Govt. sponsored programme implemented through DIC.

xii. Assistance provided to eligible MSME as per the prevalent IPR published by Govt. of Odisha time to time.

Organization of EDP training programme for development entrepreneurship in collaboration with MSMEs, -xiii. D.I Odisha, Cuttack. Both for new entrepreneur & management training programme for existing MSMEs.

Other Important Activities Undertaken By DIC for Industrialization of the District.

i) Cluster Development Programme in MSME Sector

The   objective    of   the    programme  is  to  organize  the  Micro  and  Small  Enterprises  under one  umbrella  and  augment  their  production  and  sales  by  constant  effort.  One Engineering Cluster comprising  100 nos. of Engineering  and  Metal  based  units  of  Angul  and  Talcher Area  has  been

Identified and the programme is under implementation.  Four Nos. of sensitization programmes have been conducted and preliminary Diagnostic Study Report (DSR) submitted to the Director of Industries, Odisha, Cuttack for approval.  Meanwhile, 20 entrepreneurs of Angul Dist. had been to Coimbatore,& Trichy in an exposure visit .  Also efforts are on to develop another cluster on Fly Ash Bricks for utilization of Fly Ash generated by Power plants.
