COMPENSATORY AFFORSESTATION:

So far compensatory afforestation of U.I.H.E. Project is concerned a total area of 1571.85 Ha. of forest land comes under submergence due to formation of Indravati Reservoir which needs replenishment by compensatory afforestation. A sum of Rs. 152.26 lakhs has been deposited with the Forest Department for compensatory afforestation.  Forest Department has completed afforestation of 467 Ha. so far.

 4. Allocation Business:

The unit looks after the overall maintenance of the Indravati Reservoir & other completed civil works related to Upper Indravati Hydro Electric Project.

 5. Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:

The unit comprises of the Office of the Project Administrator headed by a Chief Construction Engineer (Civil), two Civil Divisions & one Mechanical Division headed by three Executive Engineers, one Rehabilitation & Resettlement unit headed by a Project Director, one Finance Wing headed by the DGM (Finance), one 32 bedded hospital, one High School,& three U P schools located at various work sites.

6. Details of Services Rendered:

Maintenance of 4 Nos. of Dams, 8 Nos. of Dykes, Reservoir,  Tail Race Channel, Head Race Channel, Surge shaft, Tunnel Intake, Penstock Pipe lines, Operation & Maintenance of Radial Gates, Approach roads along the Project area, Residential & Non-residential buildings etc.

Grievance redressal system exists in the Organization at this Unit. For this a grievance committee has been framed in the unit level for quick redressal of employee's grievances.
