S/I of Upper Vansadhara Irrigation Project |
This is a major irrigation project contemplated for exploration of water potential of river Vansadhara. The Vansadhara is a medium sized east flowing river basin. After exploring different alternative proposals for the dam site it is proposed to build a dam of 1050 mtr. length at Tovapodar. The present proposal envisages construction of a earth dam with a spillway in the river bed portion of Vansadhara at village Topvapadar in Rayagada district. The project envisages construction of two contour canals on either side of river Vansadhara to irrigate 10700 Ha. (C.C.A.) land in Rayagada district of Odisha. |

S/I of Govindpalli Int. Irrigation Project |
The Govindapalli Integrated Project is a major Irrigation project to be taken up near village Govindapalli in the Mathili Block of Malkangiri District. This is a Storage Irrigation Project for which two dams are to be constructed across the river Saptadhara and Garia. The FRL of Saptadhara Dam and Garia Dam are now kept as 315 mtr. to irrigate CCA 33000 ha. |

S/I of Middle Kolab Irr. Project |
This project is proposed to Construct a barrage/ dam across river Kolab about 5.00km downstream of confluence Joura nallah with Kolab and U/S of Dumajori village in Koraput district of Odisha. The catchment area (free) intercepted is 1590 Sq. Km. A Dam is proposed on Kasabal and Moulijori nallah which is small tributary of Kolab river. A flood flow chaanel/ pressure conduit of 2.00 km. is proposed from the barrage/ dam to divert the flood flows of Kolab river into the aforesaid reservoir. Another dam is proposed on Kerajodi, a small tributary of Kolab river near the village with F.R.L. of EL 528m. A link canal of length 24 km. (approx) proposed near village Kodukugurah as about 268m. gross head is available. As per rough estimate power generation with install capacity of 285 MW and annual power generation of 1554 MU is possible with average annual output of 177 MW. After power generation, the realized water will be allowed to flow into Kerajodi Nallah which will be picked by implementing average on Kolab. It is proposed to create and irrigation potential of 30,000 Ha. in Mathili block of Malkangiri District. |

S/I of Nabarangpur Irrigation Project |
This is a new project. It is proposed to let out water from Indravati Dam through one of the sluices to irrigate the right side ayacut about G.C.A. 15000 Ha d/s of Indravati Dam of Nawarangpur District by constructing a diversion weir across river Indravati about 3 Km. d/s of Indravati Dam and a canal length of about 52 Km. There is also a alternate proposal to construct a separate Head Regulator on the right flank of the Indravati Dam to let out water independently to the ayacut area. |

S/I of Lower Nagavali Irrigation Project |
Lower Nagavali Irrigation Project envisages construction of reservoir scheme across the river Nagavali to provide Irrigation facilities in Rayagada District. The Project area comes-under Kalyansingh pur, Koinara & Rayagada blocks of Rayagada District which is a draught prone area. The agricultural yields in this area completely depend on the natural rain fall which is inadequate untimely and unevenly disturbed. Consequently the agricultural production which is the only source of income of the people on this locality is below average level. As such the financial status of the people is very low. So the project is absolutely improve the agricultural output and economy of the region to mitigate the misery of the sizable population, mostly belonging to the Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe. The project envisages to provide irrigation facility facility to 8500 Ha. (CCA.) of agricultural land. |

S/I of Turi Guntat Irr. Project |
The Turi Guntat Irrigation Project is an integrated diversion Scheme proposed to be constructed across river Turi and Guntat near village Vikrampur in Nabarangour Block of Nawarangpur District. The project site is situated at about 13 Km from the District Head quarter Nabarangpur. This Project will Irrigate 9135 Ha of CCA in Nabarangpur District. The cost of the project comes to Rs.117.87 crore and the benefit cost ratio is 1.822. |
