Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:

This Organization (Koraput Investigation Division, Jeypore) is entrusted for conducting the Survey and Investigation work of Major and Medium Irrigation Projects in different districts of undivided Koraout districts which are stated below along with preparation of fesibility report and detailed Project Report on the basis of collection of required information, data. Besides it is obtaining T.A.C. clearance, forest and environmental clearance, R&R clearance, investment and financial clearance of these Projects from concerned ministry of Govt. of India and Govt. of Odisha in respect to other clearance like administrative financial concurrence and investment.

2) Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:

To obtain clearance from all related Department of Govt. of India and Govt. of Odisha for implementation of these new projects for Agricultural drinking water, industrial use and socio-economical development etc. of the people of the benefited area in different district of State of Odisha.

3) Brief history of Public Authority and Context of its formation:

Koraput Investigation Division, Jeypore was created in the year of 1990 on re-deployment of Jeypore Irrigation Division, Jeypore and started functioning in the same year for conducting survey and investigation of the projects under the control of this division in the district like Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur and Malkangiri.

4) Duties of the Public Authority:

The Executive Engineer exercises his power as per relevant code of Govt. of Odisha and executed different works through the Asst. Engineers, Junior Engineers, Non-Technical and Ministerial staff and other field survey staff for conducting of survey ands investigation works of the projects.

5) Main activities/ functions of the Public Authority:

To conduct survey and investigation works, preparation of preliminary report, feasibility report in respect of revised proposal basing on collection of requisite information, detailed project report in accordance with standard and guidelines issued by Govt. of India apart from the processing and obtaining T.A.C. clearance, Forest and Environment clearance, R&R clearance, Administrative, Financial & Investment clearance for the project from concerned department of Govt. of India as well as Govt. of Odisha.
