1. Brief history of the Public Authority:
Government Girls' High School, Padampur, is a twinkling star in the field of women education. This institution shoulders the responsibility of eradicating ignorance in the tender mind of the girl children of this locality so that they can become worthy citizens of India and perform their duties in a most effective manner in future. This school is a collective effort of the then Zamindar and the local wisdoms. It came to life on 04.08.1966 . Smt. Saraswati Pradhan , the then Deputy Minister of Government of Odisha inaugurated the school .The Govt. of Odisha took over the school in its office letter no 37283 / Dt. 19.12.70 and this school became a fully fledged Govt. High School on 01.07.1970.. This school extends educational facilities both in scholastic and co- scholastic area to strengthen the physical and cognitive level of the students. The main aim and objective of the institution is to provide quality education. Scouts and Guide, JRC, Sports etc. as Co-Curricular activities are being provided to the pupils to stand in a dynamic manner before any hurdles and difficulties in their future life.
