1. Aims & Objectives of the Public Authority:
Kshitrabasi Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Nirakarpur is a Non-Govt.Aided College imparting teaching at Higher Secondary (+2) and Graduation levels in Arts, Science and Commerce and Post-Graduation in Oriya language.
a) To provide access of qualitative Higher Education to rural boys and girls.
b) To disseminate knowledge and experience to the students in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce subjects.
c) To promote a sense of awareness of social, moral and spiritual values among the students for these all round development.
d) To promote higher education among rural students.
e) To promote socially responsibility citizens with the development of all the senses.
2. Mission/ Vision statement of the College:
a) To prompt the intrinsic quality of students and fostering in them a progressive and nationalistic outlook with maximum courage.
b) To obtain excellence, accountability and Transparency.
3. Brief History of the Organization:
Located only half a kilometer from Nirakarpur Rly Station and five kilometer from Rameswar Chhak on Kolkata-Chennai national Highway. Kshetrabasi Dayananda Anglo Vedic College stand basic the new Jagannath Road on a specious campus spread over about 47 acres of land. The College was established on 14th July 1959 as a result of unprecedented interest of Sj. Kshetrabasi Routray and efforts of educationist Sj. Ananda Rath and some other enthusiastic people in Nirakarpur. The then chief Minister of Odisha and at present the governor of Assam Sri Janaki Ballav Pattanaik and Sri Guru Charan Mohanty were the first Secretary and President of its Governing Body.
The Preuniversity classes were started and it was recognized as a degree College in July 1963 with the introduction of Final Bsc Classes. Now it is functioning as a full fledged Degree College with an effiliated strength of 2598 students in +2 and +3 Classes in Arts, Science and Commerce faculties with honours teaching facilities. The College is the first of its kind in Odisha to open Post Graduate classes in Odia since session 2008-09. the College in affiliated to the C.H.S.E. Odisha and the Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
At the time of its establishment this was the only Non-Govt. College which opened as a Science College that too established in what was then a remote backward village. In 19966-67 it was named as Kshetrabasi Dayananda Anglo Vedic College due to its association with the D.A.V trust initially the College was housed in Kshetrabasi Academy building in Nirakarpur. The present College Campus comprises themain building, the staff quarters, the Library building, the N.C.C. Office the College Hostel and the near U.G.C. Building and the spacious College Play Ground. Towards the South-West in the famous hill range of "Chitrakuta" which stands in a mute witness to the gradual Development of the College. Being the oldest among the Non-Govt. College of Odisha, it maintained a commendable position in respect of teaching, learning and discipline due to prodigious contribution of enterprising Principals. Staff and the members of the Government Bod. The Member of the staff in all their Scholastic activities seek to awaken in the students a sence of awareness of and spiritual values of life so that they may contribute the Development of Body, mind and heart. In 2006 the College has been accredited "B" by NAAC. The College has attended the "Golden Jublee" of its existence in 2009.
4. Duties of the Principal:
a) General Administration of the College.
b) Management of College Office, Examination and meetings.
c) Supervision of activities of students, teaching, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, BSG Rovers & Rangers, other employees and all the curricular and co-curricular activities of the College.
d) Inspection of teaching-learning process.
e) Teaching
f) Co-ordination between College and Governing Body (G.B), CHSE/ University/ Higher Education Department of Govt/ Parents and general public.
5. Main Activities/ Function of the Principal:
a) Procurement of educational policy documents, circulars of Government/ University/ CHSE of Odisha, courses of studies, teaching aids, books etc.
b) Admission of Students, conduct of Examination, assignment of curricular and co-curricular activities among the staff, conduct of meetings, seminars, Workshops.
c) Supervision of Curricular and Co-curricular activities.
d) Establishing relationship with the Public/ Govt./ University/ CHSE of Odisha.
6. List of Services being provided by the Public Authority:
a) Providing qualitative higher education to the students of the locality.
b) Teaching the students directly.
c) Making arrangements for scholarship/ stipend for poor and meritorious students of the area.
d) Guiding the students in order to equip them to solve their day to day problems.

b) Conducting Parents-cum-Public meetings.
c) Inviting local dignitaries to College functions/ important events/ observation of important days.
Correspondence through letters and Communicate over phone (informing about performance and activities of students.
10. Mechanism available for Monitoring the Service Delivery and Public Grievance Resolution:
Public Grievance is settled with the help of College Grievance Cell, College Advisory Board and College Governing Body.
