Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Name of the public authority: Sub-Treasury, Ranpur
2) Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:
Its man mission is to safeguard proper accounting to government money and payment through particular government head of account and to ensure that right amount must be paid to right persons.
3) Brief History of the Public Authority & context of its formation:
Sub-Treasury was established in the year 1994. Presenting it has 13 numbers of DDO and 259 numbers of Pensioner holders drawing Pensioner holders drawing Pension from this Sub-Treasury.
4) Duties/ Main activities/ Functions of the Public authority an list of services being provided by the Public Authority:
It performs all its duties as per guidelines given in Odisha Treasury code vol-I. The main activities and service rendered are as follows:
i) Disbursement of Pension to the Pensioners: The Sub-Treasury Officer, Ranpur and all the staffs take almost care of all the pensioners and ensure that all senior citizens of our state problem of the pensioner are dealt quickly and settled immediately.
ii) Passing of Bills of DDO's-Pay bill of the DDO's are entertained immediately and steps are taken to pass the bills as soon as possible mostly within the stipulated period. Sometimes bills of urgent nature are passed on the same on the same day also.
iii) Passing cheques of the administrator.
iv) Passing of Chillan's.
v) Maintaining accounts both receipt and disbursement.
vi) Maintaining personal ledger account.
vii) Accounting and safe custody of valuables.
5) Arrangement and methods made for seeking Public Participation/Public Grievance resolution:
Office of the Sub-Treasury Office, Ranpur is weekly two days of Monday and Thursday opened for the Public to hear their Grievances and settled them immediately. He is personally very keen to resolve the problems o public as soon as possible. Sub-Treasury Officer and Other staffs of the Sub- Treasury also involve themselves to settle the problems of the public with consolation of Sub-Treasury Officer.
