Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aims & Objective of the Organization:

The aims & objective of District Industries Centre Nayagarh is to promote Micro small Medium  Enterprise ,  cottage and Village industries and to assist the entrepreneurs, industrialist of the district for obtaining finance from different financial institutions, marketing assistance, Entrepreneurship Development Training, raw materials, IDCO Land and Shed as well as benefits under different Industrial policy Resolutions (IPRs) from time to time.

2) Mission/ Vision:

The mission & vision of D.I.C Nayagarh is to:

a) Generate employment and uplift the economical status of the inhabitants of the district by setting up Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
b) To provide employment in Industry, service sectors through Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) scheme and Priminister Formalization of Micro Food Enterprise (PMFME) and other schemes of MSME Dept.

3) Brief History & Background for its Establishment:

The District Industries Centre, Nayagarh has been functioning from the year 2000 onwards for all sorts of assistance i.e. financial assistance, marketing assistance, Govt, land and shed Raw-material, project reports and profiles, Entrepreneurship Development Training, different technical know-how etc under one roof.

4) Duties of the Public Authority:

To uplift the economical status of the inhabitants of Nayagarh district and to provide employment opportunity by establishment of MSME Units , Ancillary units and to provide self employment through PMEGP ,PMFME Scheme and other Schemes under IPR and MSMED Policies. The General Manager, DIC, Nayagarh has been taking effective steps to fulfill the target under different schemes through field functioneries.

5) Main Activities/ Function of the Public Authority:

The Industries Promotion Officers/Assistant Industries Officer  posted for field level are responsible for identification of entrepreneurs and providing them necessary assistances for preparation of scheme/ project reports, forwarding their registration applications, loan proposals to DIC Nayagarh. The AIO/IPO , KV1 Supervisor (Class III employees), posted in the office of DIC, Nayagarh Head Qtrs. are submitting their files through Asst. Manager to the General Manager, DIC, Nayagarh for final disposal.

6) Details of Service Rendered:

The D.I.C, Nayagarh have assisted the industrialists/ entrepreneurs,  by providing them scheme, project profiles, Project Reports, Technical know-how Entrepreneurial Development Training, Skill up gradation training Marketing assistance, assisting to obtain from different Financial Institutions, raw materials and Govt. land & sheds.

7) Organizational Structure:

The District Industries Centre, Nayagarh is headed by the General Manager, who is a Senior Class-I Officer under which  Asst. Manager in the rank of Class-1, and Asst. Industries Officer (Class-II)Industries Promotion Officers (Class-III employees) at field level are functioning and assisting in different promotional activities i.e. MSME Sector, KVIB Sector , Cottage & Village Industries Sector & Coop, societies (Ind) Sector.
