Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (I)]

1. Aim & Objectives of the Organization:
Berhempur Cooperative Central Bank Ltd. Chhatrapur Branch, was established in the year ____ vide Regd. No._________________ under O.C.S.Act, l962. (Odisha Act, 2 of 1963). The area of operation of the Bank covered whole of the Chhatrapur revenue District. The object of the Bank is to raise funds for financing Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies, employees cooperative Societies, Handloom Cooperative Societies and other Cooperative Society permitted under NABARD Act. Registered or deemed to be so registered under Act and duly affiliated to fit, individual and other body corporate enrolled as nominal member of the bank in accordance with Act, Rules and Bye-laws as amended from time to time.

2. Mission & Vision:
To organize Cooperative Societies for the promotion of thrift, self-help and mutual aid among Agriculturists and other persons for promotion of economic interest of its members in accordance with Cooperative principles within the policy guidelines of Govt./R.B.I./ NABARD and O.S.C.B.

3. Details of Service Rendered:
i) To develop, assist and coordinate the work of the affiliated societies and secure them with financial help whenever necessary, arrange for their supervision and inspection.
ii)
To propagate the principle of cooperative, sound agricultural practices by disseminating information publishing  pamphlets and arranging conference and conduct training, awareness camp, hold seminar for skill up-gradation of officials and non officials and also members of the affiliated cooperative societies, SHGs.
iii)
To arrange to supply circulars, stationeries, forms, Iron chest required by the affiliated societies. To carry on general business of banking as define in the banking regulation Act.1949 and to accept corporate agencies of the Insurance Company to sale life and non life insurance product to boost the non fond business of the bank.
iv)
To organize SHGs and to promote Micro finance among the economically poor directly or through affiliated PACS and LAMPS.
v)
To undertake such other work as will promote the cause of cooperation and to do all such things as may be necessary or desirable for the accomplishment of the aforesaid objects within the guidelines laid down by RBI, NABARD and Registrar as the case may be.
