1. Brief History of the Public Authority:

Kapoteswar Upgraded High School is a Government educational institution situated at village Raghurajpur, P.O. - Chandanpur, P.S. - Chandanpur, Block- Puri Sadar, Dist-Puri. Raghurajpur is an internationally known heritage village, famous for its "PATTACHITRA" and "GOTIPUA DANCE".

In 1953 this school was first established as Kapoteswar lower primary school and later it was upgraded to an Upper primary school. In 2008 class VIII was opened as per govt. instruction.

As this school is situated in Malatipatpur G.P., Govt. of Odisha issued an order in 2009 to open Class-IX in this school. Due to lack of infrastructure and want of teacher, Class -IX could not be opened in 2009. Later in 2011 Class -IX was opened and it became a govt. upgraded High school.

This school was recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha in the academic year 2011 -12 for Class- IX and 2012 -13 for Class X. The first batch of students appeared Annual H.S.C Exam in the year 2012-13.

This is a co- educational institution and the only High school in malatipatpur G.P which extends teaching facilities in math, science, language and social science etc.

The main objective of this institution is to impart knowledge to boys and Girls students in different fields. Simultaneously this institution ensures that every boy and girl above 5+ age gets enrolled and completes secondary Education in one Campu, Teachers take care of qualitative all around development of child i.e. physical, mental and moral within limited infrastructural facility. Games & Sports activities are also carried on in this school
