1. Brief History of the Public Authority:

The Deputy Director, Survey and Map publication office, Odisha, Cuttack started functioning during the year 1963, being separated from Bihar Survey office. The office is functioning with two wings, one is the printing of Cadastral Maps and other is Survey work. The office is in the Government  building located in Badajobra, Canel Road, Cuttack in the ground Floor and 1st floor.The Joint Director S&MPO, Cuttack is the head of the Office and controls all the wings of thee officer.The post of AD(Admn), R&AO, AD(PTS) and AD(Survey) are vacant.
The Administrative officer is incharge of the following branches of this office due to non-posting of the other officers by the Govt.

The Administrative officer on receipt of the file from Head clerk takes action either for disposal of the case or for orders of Higher Authority as per powered delegated to him

After receipt of the orders passed if and by the higher authority, the file is transmitted back to the concerned sections through proper channel for compliance of the orders.
