Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1.Brief History of the Public Authority:
Panabeda Degree Mahavidyalaya named after a particular scanty rainfall area located in the Block of Chandahandi . The Panabeda Degree College is situated in the Block head quarter which was established in the year 1997-98. where only Arts stream is opened by the effort of local people. the college drawing a special look for a center of higher Institution. this college fulfilling the will and craze of local people for higher education. the long dream of this locality properly chandahandi peoples enthuse ultimately materialised by the active cooperation of the people of chandahandi. the +3, Degree College started with 64 seated permission with five teaching staff and four non-teaching staff combined with +2 college , now college discharging his glory with standing four stair building and the other side a mini forest of teak trees increasing glory and fascination of the college campus. it covered near about 6.93 acres of land with play ground in south and in the west their is 100 seated hostel situated for the boys of +3, Degree which also fulfilling the need of boarder to the distance place students from umerkote, Raighar, Jharigam, Nuapada district and kalahandi district now this institution became a separate special Degree college which impart the teaching facility to the students of 03 districts, now the +3, Degree of chandahandi is growing its glories with success by satisfying results, now this college has 256 seats admitting in each year and generated. its performance in providing education facilities with honours subjects in Economics, History, Odia and Pol. Science. all enrolled students are enjoying their study facilities in the modern and decorated building with great pleasure at present 750 students are reading in this college. 06 nos of teaching staff and 08 nos non teaching staff are always engage for providing good teaching facility to the students. the college has enrich in the field of the education of the Nabarangpur district . The public cooperation and active G.B. of the college always support and cooperate in positive thinking the college has good library all the students of the college are allowed to having a reading facility and book also available for the purpose of issue
The area has also attend prominent and occupied a significance place in the academic map of odisha. an enthusiastic support of the people from this place was encouraging from the very beginning. the dream of panabeda local elite to have a college in the area was translated in to reality. the financial contribution of government in infrastructure is significance in enabling the college to rise its infrastructure, the college being oldest college in block head quarter has met the education need of the peoples of this remote area in turns of educational facilities in due course of time. Panabeda Degree college is located in an ideal open in the middle of chandahandi and mohara village. its become the heart of the both village.
The college was permanently affiliated to the Berhampur University. now again it is affiliated to Vikram Dev University, Jeypore. the college has received GIA.2008 under 662 categories college. it was good day in the history of the college.

This is a Non Govt. Aided College and principal I/c of the college takes decisions in various matters having discussion with different committees like Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Purchase Committee etc. as per the Government Rules/ University Rules/ UGC guidelines and Government instruction from time to time.

Note: Any Letter, Public Application, Proposal received from Government, Public, Individuals, Students and Staff are being entered in the Diary Register and referred to concerned sections, officers in charge, committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different officers in charge/ Bursars/ Officer in Charge of Examination/ Heads of the concerned Departments are put up before the Principal for Approval/ Sanctions after which being dispatched with number and date.
