1. Objective/ Purpose of the Organization:

Collection of Tax Revenue for the state with due concern for the tax payers.           

2. History and context of its formulation:

The Enforcement Range, Sambalpur was headed by Assistant Commissioner of commercial Taxes started functioning w.e.f 6th August 1984 and after upgradation Enforcement Range, Sambalpur is headed by Deputy Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes started functioning w.e.f 8th August 2008.

3. Main activities/ Functions:

To keep watch on tax evasion business activities of fraudulent dealers.

4. Organizational Structure:

The head of office is the Deputy Commissioner of commercial taxes (DCCT), OFS- I (SB) who is assisted by three commercial Tax Officer (CTO) and Seven Asst. Commercial Tax Officers.
