Introduction
O/o the Executive Engineer, Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, Designs Branch, Mukhiguda, Kalahandi is located at , Mukhiguda , Kalahandi, Odisha.
This office comes under the Department of Water Resources, Govt. of Odisha.
The main function of this institution is to The aims of this Branch is to design and prepare of execution drawing of different type of structures required for the project both for Right and Left Canal Extension system and old completed system.

Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Objectives/ Purpose of the Public Authority:
The Design Branch under direct control of Chief Engineer, Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, At/Po- Khatiguda, Dist.- Nabarangapur came into function vide DOWR letter No. 39767 dated 07.11.2002 with headquarters at Mukhiguda. The aims of this Branch is to design and prepare of execution drawing of different type of structures required for the project both for Right and Left Canal Extension system and old completed system.
2. Mission/ Vision:
This organization has been established with an aim to provide timely preparation of all the technical designs and drawings of the structures required to be executed in the construction and maintenance of UIIP.
3. Brief History of the Public Authority and Context of its Formation:
The office of the CE, UIIP, Designs Branch, Mukhiguda with headquarters at Mukhiguda has been created as per the DOWR letter No. 39767 dated 07.11.2002.
It has been established with a aim to prepare designs and drawings required to be constructed in Canal Extension systems of Kalahandi District.
4. Duties of the Public Authority:
To carry out technical data furnished by field staffs and to prepare planning, designs and drawings of structures required for the canal systems (both ongoing and completed).
5. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:
To carry out technical data furnished by field staffs and to prepare planning, designs and drawings of structures required for the canal systems (both ongoing and completed) and timely completion to speed up the execution works.
6. List of Services being Provided by the Public Authority with a Brief Write-up on them:
Until now, the Designs Branch is taking of for planning, designing and drawings of different canal structures both for extension and old systems of U.I.I.P.
7. Expectation of the Public Authority from the Public for Enhancing its Effectiveness and Efficiency:
The public authorities pressed its optimum efforts for timely and quick completion of design works for smooth running of execution works.
8. Arrangements and Methods made for Seeking Public Participation/ Contribution:
Any public are free to interact with E.E, Designs during office hours regarding design works.
9. Mechanism Available for Monitoring the Service Delivery and Public Grievance Resolution:
Sri Naresh Kumar Patro, Asst. Engg. (C) is the P.I.O of this office to render information to public under R.T.I Act 2005 and the E.E, Designs U.I.I.P, Mukhiguda is the 1st. Appellate Authority to redress the grievances of the public.
10. Address of the Main Office:
At present o/o of the Chief Engineer, U.I.I.P, Designs Branch is functioning at Mukhiguda,E.E, District:- Kalahandi, Odisha PIN-766026. It is situated in the administrative Building complex of U.I.I.P.
11. Working Hours of Office:
10 AM to 5 PM with lunch break at 1.30 PM to 2 PM in all working days of the year,except from 10th April to 15th June, 7 AM to 1 PM without any break for summer.
12. Closing Hours of Office:
The office remains closed beyond office hours normally during emergency the office remains opened beyond office hours on Sunday and holidays.
