Introduction

O/o the Conservator of Forest & Working Plans Office, Bhubaneswar, Khurda is located at Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Odisha.

This office comes under the Department of Forest & Environment, Govt. of Odisha.

The main function of this institution is to Working Plans of different Forest Divisions for Scientific and Sustainable Management of Forests as well as mid-term revision of Working Plans.

Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1. Aim and objectives of the organization:

Conservator of Forests and Working Plans Officer, Bhubaneswar prepared the Working Plans of different Forest Divisions for Scientific and Sustainable Management of Forests as well as mid-term revision of Working Plans.

2. Mission/ Vision:

Boundary verification of different Forest Blocks, Enumeration of Plantation and Survey works for preparation of Working Plans, and to monitor the various Forestry related activities as per National Working Plan Code, 2004 & Code of Management Procedure, 1990.

3. Brief history and background for its establishment:

This office has been established during the year 2003 after the re-organisation of Forest Department with Head Quarter at Bhubaneswar for preparation of Working Plans of different Forest Divisions.

4. Allocation of Business:

a.  CF & WPO is the Administrative Head of the Office.

AWPO to assist the CF & WPO in Management of the Official as well as Field Works

. FRO to assist the CF & WPO for different Field Works in Working Plans & Schemes
.

Head Clerk is over all charge of the Office Business

Jr. Clerk is to help the Sr. Clerk/ Acct. Section

Revenue Inspector is to assist the CF & WPO in field Survey & Demarcation

i. Amin is to assist the R.I. in field Survey & Demarcation
.
j. Driver is to maintain the Four Wheeler
.
k. Office Choukidar is to look after the office safety after Office Hours
.
l. Sweeper is to look after Neat and Clean the Office.

On normal working days 10.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M with lunch break 1.30 P.M to 2.00 P.M, every day except Govt. holidays.

10. Grievance Redressal Mechanism:

The grievance of the Staff/ Public is usually heard on every Saturday and disposed off at the earliest.
