Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

         Chief Construction Engineer Central Rural Works Circle, Bhubaneswar is located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This office comes under the Department of Rural Development, Govt. of Odisha. The main function of this institution is to in charge of the circle is the Administrative and Professional control of Public works executed within the circle.

Appointment, transfer and sanction of pension of Class-III (Group-C), employees. Sanction of leave, GPF Pay fixation etc. of all staffs of circle office as well as divisions.

Drawing & Disbursing officer of the office. Accord A/ A for CWA Works upto 5.00 lakhs. Technically sanction the estimates costing more than 50.0Q lakhs and upto 300.00 lakhs of roads/ buildings/ bridge works of under State allocation as codified in O.P.W.D. Technically sanction the estimate upto Rs.500.00 lakhs of PMGSY Works. Accept the tender upto 300.00 lakhs of works under State funds and upto 500.00 lakhs under PMGSY Works. Prepare annual establishment budget.

Statutory

Review the works of Divisions under its jurisdiction and monitor the physical and financial progress from time to time.

Others

Take remedical procedures/ guide for smooth execution works of all Divisions.

As assigned by Government of Odisha for Engineering Department.
