Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1. Aims and Objectives of the Organisation:

To look after the health, sanitation, water supply, roads, safety and public convenience of the citizen of the urban inhabitants. This includes improvement and up-gradation of the socio-economical status of the Urban Poor's.

2.  Mission/Vision:

Local Self Government under the statute consisting of the local people as representatives to the Council for carrying out the functions as provided under the Odisha Municipal Act/Rules, for the public health, safety and convenience of the citizens of the town.

3. History and Background for its Establishment:

This N.A.C was constituted in the year 1972 as per Govt. of Odisha notification No 1724(A)HUD, dated 07/12/1972, the area of NAC is &.15 Sq mtr. Comprising of the revenue village Khallikote, Totagaon, Balukeswarpur, Phasula, Syamasundarpur, As per census 2011 the Total population of this NAC is 13017.

4. Organisation Chart:

The Khallikote NAC is the head of the Department as per Rule 428 of Odisha Municipal Rules, 1953. The Chairperson is the head of the Department.
The Executive Officer is the Controlling Officer. The following sections work under this N.A.C.

i)  General Office Establishment headed by a Junior Assistant.
ii)
 Bills, Budget & accounts managed by Junior Assistant.
iii)
 Public Works section: - The Junior Engineer is heads of this section& one TC Is Deal the work section as well as one work sarkar is assist to JE.
iv)
Tax Section: - One cashier of the section head & 2 Tax Collector work under this section.
v)
 Sanitation: One Zamadar & Senior Helper is kept in charge of supervision of Sanitation work. He supervises the work of 30 Sweepers, sanitation section to supervise the work of Sweepers. 2 no. of Tractor & One CESS poll Tanker is clean the public latrine & N.A.C. lift the garbage of the town.

6. Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:

As per the provisions of Odisha Municipal Act 1950 and Odisha Municipal Rules-1953.

7. Details of Services Rendered:

Sanitation, street lighting, water supply, providing roads, drains, culvert, maintenance of water reservoirs etc.

8. Citizens Interaction:

By organizing awareness meeting on L.S.G. Day and other occasion in the interaction is usually made.

During Summer:- 7.00 A.M. to 1P.M.
