1. History & Background of its Establishment:
a. The College Crest:
The crest of our college bears different symbols i.e. a Microscope in the left, Our crest gives a symbolic interpretation of the line written at its base "Sha Vidya Ya Bimuktaya" meaning-let the wishdom of knowledge bless all the beings and the open to all . The crest of our college depicts a burning lamp, which itself shows the light in consuming herself, a computer represents the advancement science and technology. Awheel symbolizes the progress and a couple of students justifies the co-education system of the college the crest is encircled by the name of the college ' Rajendra Meher College,Jogimunda
The college Rajendra Meher college was founded in the year 1995, and recognized by the Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to CHSE Odisha . The college was initially working in a private mansion in the "Yuba Ssanskrit Parisad" and later on it was shifted to its independent building having few numbers of quarters for the students and staff. Now the strength of the college has gone up to 192 seats and the number of quarters too increased. At the backside of the college, a playground is located for performing activites like games sports.
The college now imparts education to the students in various subject. Subject likes-Pol-science, History, Education, Economics, Sociology, Language Odia, Information Technology are there as optional along with compulsory English and Mil (o)
2. Aim & Objectives of the College:
Our locality, as per socio economic and educational statistics of Odisha Is a backward area in all respect. The majority of the people belong to SC and ST community. Their living standard is also precarious. They are unable to send their ward out side the locality for higher education. With a view to impart higher education at an affordable price .The College was established in the year 1995

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process
[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]
1. What is the procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other rules/ regulations etc. can be made)
Ours is a non-Govt. aided college .The principal in charge in consultation with the staff take all important decisions which is further put for the approval of the Sub-Collector, Patnagarh who is the president, G.B, of our college.

Norms for Discharge of Functions

Any letter, Public application, proposal received from Government Public Individual, Students and staff are being entered in the diary register and referred to concerned sections. Officers in Charge, Committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different Officers in Charge/ Bursars/ Heads of the concerned Departments are put up before the Principal in charge for approval/ sanctions after which being despatche with number and date.
