Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Brief History and Background of the Establishment:

It is one of the premier Non - Government Aided Educational Institutions of Western Odisha stands elegantly in a quiet and serene atmosphere besides NH.55 . The college named after the great Saint Poet Bhima Bhoi was established in 1970 and now has grown into a Degree College imparting Honours teaching in almost all major subjects of Arts and Chemistry in Science Stream. The institution is a leading Higher Education provider encompassing education in Arts and Science at Degree Level. The institution is one of the most important centres of higher learning with its experienced faculty members aims to fulfil its goal and objectives to a possible extent.

The college has been accredited with 'B' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore in 2024 in its 3rd cycle of accreditation and the validity period of 3rd cycle accreditation is upto 19th December 2029.

2. The Goals:

(i) To provide quality education in various field as to help all round development of the rural youth.
(ii) To inculcate spiritual, moral and ethical education which alone can ensure the nurturing and development of well-balanced personality.
(iii) To provide scientific, technical, professional education to make our students independent.

     This is a Non-Government Aided college and the Principal of the college takes decision in various matters having discussion with the President Governing Body, different committees like Examination Committee, Purchase Committee, Budget Committee, IQAC Cell etc. as per the government Rules/ University Rules/ UGC Guidelines.

Any letter, public application, proposal received form government, public individual, students and staff are being entered in the Diary Register and referred to the concerned section with remarks of Officer in charge for submission and compliance in the related files. The files being routed though the concerned officer in charge are put up before the Principal for approval.
