Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties
[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]
1. Brief History of the College:
Rajdhani College started functioning as the morning shift of B.J.B College, Bhubaneswar in 1973,with provision for teaching Intermediate and Degree Courses in Arts .In 1975,the College was shifted to a Govt. Building located in Unit-1 and functioned there for fourteen years as an independent Institution. It was shifted to the present Campus at Baramunda in 1989.The College is a Co-educational Institution and has no place for ragging.
2. Location And Area:
The College is located on plot No. 187, Khata No.33, Area 15 Acres, Village-Baramunda, Tahasil Bhubaneswar. College Telephone No.is 06742562491.PIN No.751003.
Rajdhani College accredited- "A" by UGC NAAC, provides Teaching Facilities at Degree level in Arts only and is affiliated to Utkal University ,Vani Vihar,Bhubaneswar. From the academic session 2001-2002,Higher Secondary Classes in Arts and Science came under Rajdhani Jr.College affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education,Odisha.Commerce stream was opened at the +2 level in the year 2010-11 .Both the Colleges are functioning under one Principal & in the same building.

4. Course Structure: This College imparts Education at +2 level in Science , Arts & Commerce streams and at +3 level in Arts, Science & Commerce with Honours provision. CBCS pattern is being followed from the session 2016-17 at +3 level. The College has facilities for M.A (Odia), M.A (Edn) & B.Ed also.

N.B.: Information Technology is a self financing course . A Student has to deposit Rs.1500/-per annum for this course. If a student leaves the college in the 1st year He/She has to deposit fee for the 2nd year also. Elective subjects shall be offered on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and subject to availability of seats. Besides compulsory subject, a student has to select four elective subjects .No one is allowed to take two language subjects (Odia with Sanskrit).A student may also take Hindi/Bengali/Telugu/Urdu as his /her MIL There is no provision for regular classes in these subjects (Vide CHSE letter No.4154/CHSE dt.1.5.2000.).

d. Elective Subjects:-Elective A-(A1&A2)-Education, Odia, Philosophy, Sanskrit. Elective B-(B1&B2)-lndian Economy, Indian Polity, Landmarks of Indian History.
A Student having Honours will have to opt for two Elective subjects. A Student having pass subjects (without Honours) will also have to opt for two Elective subjects.
7. P.G. (Self Finance) in Education: Permission has been accorded by the Govt. of Odisha to open M.A in Education with 16 seats under self financing mode. University authorities have been requested to provide affiliation to start the said course.

a. Admission:-Admission in to various Classes of +2 and +3 Courses is conducted as per the merit list prepared by SAMS under e-admission Programme. The College code assigned by SAMS for +2 is 19051102 & for+3 is 19051304.
b. Reservation:-SC-8%,ST-12%,Govt.Servant-4%,P.H.-3%,B.R.-2%,Ex-Serviceman-1%,SDP-1%,OSO-5%.
c. Weightage:-NCC-A Certificate-5%,NCC Certificate-B-10%, All India NCC Camp-5%,No weightage for C- Certificate.
d. Scout s & Guides:-Representation in Presidents Scouts-10%,Govemers Scout5%,
e. N.S.S:-Direct Admission for representing the country, Receipt of National awards 7%,State awards-5%,Best University Voulunteers-3%.

Admission on the basis of reservation and weightage is subject to fulfillment of other related conditions.

i. College Examination:- Half yearly & Annual for +2 1st yr. Students & ,Pre -Test, Test Examination for +2 II yr. and +3 (three years) are conducted by the College
