Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (I)]

1. Brief History of the Public Authority:

     Jatiya Kabi Bira Kishore Govt. and junior College is a Government Educational institution imparting Higher Education in Education in Graduation, +2 and Vocational level. This institution was established on 22.8. 1972 in the District of Cuttack. It extends teaching facilities in Humanities in +3 level and Humanities and Science in +2 levels.

2. Main Objective of the Public Authority:

     The motto of our College is "enriching the mind to expand the horizons of life". Intellectual training is one of the primary objective of our institution. However, in a world that touches so many aspects of human life. We endeavour to perfect the moral fibre of our students os that they become examples to society and influence others in the abiding virtues of courage, confidence, integrity, had-work and the human spirit.

      In the spirit of Jatiya Kabi Bira Kishore Das we endeavour to inspire our students to become fearless inheritors of a land in which we do not wait for what the country can do for us, but surge forward with what we can do for the country.

     In a rapidly changing Social environment it is important to create a vision for the future. Such an attempt needs to bind the ethics of our rich indian tradition with the new temper to make our students futuristic so that today they can build their tomorrow.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]

1. What is the Procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other Rules/ Regulations etc. can be made).

     For any decision making a committee comprising of Principal as the Chairman and Academic Bursar, Administrative Bursar or any other member is constituted. All decisions regarding any matters are decided by the Committee. The Principal is empowered to constitute the Committee. Besides, other important matters are decided by the Governing Body of which the Collector and the District Magistrate is the Chairman. It has other members also.
