1. Name of the organization :

Jharsuguda Engineering School is a premier Government Diploma Engineering Institute of Western Odisha established in the Year 1955 with a vast campus of 78.025 acre. It is located near Badhaimunda Chowk, Kali Mandir Road in the vicinity of a supportive industrial cluster and approximately 3 km from Jharsuguda Railway Station, 2 km from Jharsuguda Bus stop and 8 km from Jharsuguda Airport. (21° 51'40" N , 84° 2' 25" E)

2. Functioning of the building:

The huge infrastructures and buildings are utilized for Administrative and Academic purposes like class rooms, laboratories workshop, seminar hall, Auditorium, Boy's hostels, Girl's hostels, Cafeteria and residence via quarters of staff.

3 . Brief description of the department:

This institution is a Govt. institution under the administrative control of Director of Technical Education & Training, Odisha under Skill development & Technical Education Department, Govt. of Odisha affiliated to State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training , Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

The Workshop Superintendent is the Head of all the workshops of the lnstitution and is responsibte to the Principal in all matters concerned with the Workshop instruction, proper utilization of men, materiats and machinery and maintenance in workshop and services to various departments. 2. Planning, scheduling, organizing, coordinating and monitoring workshop training, sessions and tasks of the institution. 3. Design, develop and test instructional materials and tasks for skill training. 4. Procurement, erection/installation and commissioning of plant and equipment in the workshops. 5. Procurement and storage of raw materials, toots instruments. 6. Guide students in the performance of practical tasks and skill exercises and evaluate their performance. 7.
