Particulars of Organization, Functions and Duties

[Section-4(1) (b) (I)]

1. Brief History of the Public Authority:

     Tarini Thakurani Mahavidyalaya, Ghatgaon is one of the premier non-govt. aided colleges of the state was established in the year 1978 at Tarini Pitha, Ghatgaon a holy place of Odisha and Tribal block head quarter of Keonjhar District. The main objectives of this Institution to as laid down in its Mission and Vision are as follows.

Tarini Thakurani Mahavidyalaya, Ghatgaon takes the following missions to fulfill the goals.

b. Vision:

     Tarini Thakurani Mahavidyalaya, Ghatgaon, as a temple of learning setsa the following goals and vision for its future perspective.

     A new glorious chapter in history of the College started when Government of Odisha accorded concurrence for Intermediate Arts under Utkal University from the session 1979-80. And further accorded concurrence for opening of two years degree Course (Traditional B.A.) from the session 1983-84. In view of the adoption of the National Education policy in 1986 consisting of 10+2+3 structure the +2 Higher Secondary Course under, C.H.S.E. Odisha replaced I.A. in 1983-84 and similarly +3 Degree Course under Utkal University were introduced in 1985-86 session replacing the traditional Degree Course. Commerce at +2 stage was introduced from 1986-87.

     The College entered to another era of History in the year 1984 when it received direct payment (G.I.A) from Government of Odisha towards the salary of both teaching and non-teaching staff members and affiliated to UGC under 2f and 12B.

     The Government of Odisha have further added to the expansion of the College by giving the Concurrence for opening of Honours subject in History, Political Science and Sociology from the session 1991-92.

     +2 Science was permitted, recognized and affiliated to c.h.s.e. Odisha from 1992-93 session. The Government of Odisha have granted Concurrence for +3 Commerce from the session 2003-04 and permitted to open Oriya and Economics Honours from the session, 2008-09. The college has been accredited with By the naac in 2007.

     This day is not too for when Tarini Thakurani Mahavidyalaya will stand out as an ideal and unique institution on its own merits of academic discipline and excellence.

     At length the Benign Mother 'Maa Tarini' who knows our needs would bestow her blessings to the growing and developing institution.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

[Section-4(1) (b) (iii)]

1. What is the procedure followed to take a decision for various matter? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other Rules/ Regulations.etc. can be made).

     This is a non-govt. aided educational college and the Principal of the college takes decisions as per approval of President G.B. and in various matters having discussions with different committees like, Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Purchase Committee, Building Committee, U.G.C. Committee, Financial Committee, as per the Govt. Rules/ University Rules/ U.G.C. guideline/ NAAC gideline.

Norms for Discharge of Functions

[Section-4(1) (b) (iv)]

     Any letter, Public application, proposal received from Government Public Individual, Students and staff are being entered in the diary register and referred to concerned sections. Officers in Charge, Committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different Officers in Charge/ Bursars/ Heads of the concerned Departments are put up before the Principal in charge for approval/ sanctions after which being dispatched with number and date.
