1. Brief History of Public Authority:
A long cherished dream of establishing a college: in this locality was actualized in the year 1976 with the coming up of ADIKAVI SARALADAS COLLEGE, Tirtol. The endeavoring intellectuals of this area named the college after a literary genius of the soil, ADIKAVI SARALADAS, the devout disciple of Goddess SARALA, the Goddess of Wisdom. Adikavi Saraladas enriched Odia literary treasure with his great epic. The MOHABHARAT which is a profile of Odisha culture.
The College is on the Cuttack-Paradeep state highway, 50 kms. from either side, The college opens with l. A. and has bloomed, into a Degree college, offering courses in + 3 Arts, Science and Commerce with Honours teaching by galaxy of resourceful teachers. A.S. College offers Honours facilities in. History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, English, Odia Education, Psychology, Sanskrit, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Accountancy and Management, The College has a centrally located Library having more than 19000 Books in Subjects and streams. The library subscribes 18 journals of national repute for Specialized teaching and learning along with 15 periodicals covering Humanities, Science and Commerce streams. The Laboratories in the college are well-equipped to meet the requirements of Honours teaching in concerned Subjects. The opening of NCC (Boys’ & Girls’ units in 1999 and 2004 respectively) has been a glorious moment in the history of the college. It encouraged the students for competitive enrollment and thus enhancing the reputation of the institution. The college offers several other wings of community service like Youth Red Cross & NSS to better up the awareness of the students regarding their social responsibilities.
The elite of the locality have a dream to grow this institution into a Deemed University as well.
2. Main objective of the Public Authority:
The main objective of this Institution is to disseminate knowledge to the students in different fields. Simultaneously this Institution also aims at the overall development of the students (physical, mental and moral). State and National level seminar and extramural lecturers are organized time to time for the betterment of the students. Games and Sports are also an integral part of this institution which inspires the students to be physically fit. There are also many societies and associations related to social service and cultural programmes. N.C.C., Red Cross etc incite vaguer, enthusiasm and feeling of national integration among the students. This College also publishes an annual multilingual magazine to develop creativity in them.

Any letter, Public application, proposal received from Government , public individual, students, staff members are being entered in the Diary Register and referred to concerned Section(s), Officer(s) in charge, Committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file is duly routed through the different Officers in charge/ Bursars/ Head(s) of the concerned Department & put up before the Principal for approval/ sanction after which the same is disposed/dispatched with number and date.
