3. Functions:

    This institution, apart from imparting education, conducts Higher  Examination and other extra-curricular activities as directed by The Department of Higher  Education , ODISHA. Prior to 20.09.2008, the institution was governed by the Governing Body consisting of Sri Bhakta Charan Das as the President and Sri Shraban Kumar Agrawal  as Secretary and other Governing Body members. After receiving Grant-in-Aid from the Govt, the old Governing Body was dissolved and Government appointed The Sub-collector, Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district as the President and Principal-in-charge as the Ex-Offico Secretary of the college.

4. Duties:

    The main duties of the staff of the college is to impart teaching in their respective disciplines. The Principal has the power to look after over-all developments of the college and maintain peace and tranquility apart from inculcating discipline among the students and teachers. In addition to their duties, it is the responsibility of the Principal to run the office and office bearers smoothly and giving remunerations to those staff who have not received Grant-in-Aid from time to time.

The Principal has been given full-fledged power to control the staff and students during the college hour in the college premises. It is his responsibility to maintain link with the Director of Higher Education, Regional Directorate,  Higher Education, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur Zonal office. Apart from these functions he is responsible for maintaining Accounts and Cash Book and financial management. Further as a teacher, he teaches the students in his own discipline.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]

1. What is the Procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other Rules/ Regulations etc. can be made).

   The Governing Body looks after the broad management of the college and it takes the necessary decisions under the guidelines  prescribed  by the Government of Odisha and Department of Higher  Education, Odisha and the Affiliated University.The implementation of these policies and the day  to day management is done by the Principal assisted by the Staff Council and other committees constituted for different purposes.

     The different activities like admission,examination,cultural and sports etc. are  performed under the supervision of different committees  constituted  for different purposes.All these activities are performed as per the norms set by the Department of Higher Education,Government of Odisha  and  the Affiliated University.

     In imparting teaching and conducting other curricular and co-curricular  activities the institution follows the rules and regulations of both the Department of Higher Education and  the Affiliated University.The various activities of the college is done by the students being supervised by the employees in charge under the guidance of the Principal.The Principal follows the rules, instructions and manuals in discharging his duties in administrative,academic and finance along with the in- charge officers.

Particulars of Arrangement in Formulation of Policy

     We interact with the parents of the students through regular meetings and take different suggestions from the parents.Besides this,any other suggestions from any quarter are also taken for consideration. After deliberation in the Governing Body meeting and staff council meeting the suggestions found to be beneficial are accepted  and they are incorporated in the norms set by the college.
