Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (I)]

1. Brief History of the Public Authority:
The main function of RTO is Registration of vehicle to give permits to good/ Contract carriages, Stage carriages (Buses) both TP & PP. To give D/L of M/C, LMV, HGV and Badge No. and also to give conductor licence, check of the vehicle by TI and IMV. As and when required to hold a mobile checking of the vehicle off road or vehicle, Disbursement of Pay/ D.A/ T.A Provisional pension and other allowances of the staff both gazetted and non-gazetted officers.

a) To reach money towards taxes and fees of the vehicles.
b)
Deposit the revenue money in to the Treasury as well as disbursement of contigent bills in different heads.
c)
To pay the Electric/ Telephone bills to the concerned Department.
