1. Brief history of the Public Authority:

     Established in 1991 as Panchayat Samiti Mahavidyalaya, Gyana Vihar, Deogaon, Bolangir the name of the institution is changed to Panchayat Samiti (Junior) Mahavidyalaya, Deogaon, Bolangir. It is situated at Deogaon under Deogaon Block in the Dist.- Bolangir and strives hard for excellence in its way to fulfill its goal and mission since then.

2. Aim & Objectives of the Public Authority:

     Basically, it Aims at educating weaker sections, which constitute about half of the population of Deogaon Locality.

3. Strength of the Pubic Authority:

     From a small student strength of 128 in 1991, the college has made rapid strides over the periods of time, catering to the needs of about 256 students. It provides teaching facility in 07 subjects at Under +2 level. (Arts)

4. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:

    This college has also been identified as a center to upgrade the merit of SC/ ST/ Minority/ OBC (Non Creamy Layers) students through different scheme.

     The College has been functioning as an Aided College since 1994 and managed and controlled by statutory and non-statutory bodies, as prescribed by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha. Basing on its academic reputation, co-curricular activities, quality of Institutional Management and Responsiveness of Administrative Structure. This Institution is fully committed to its aims and goal and taking good care of students.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]

1) Who are the Officers at various levels whose opinions are sought for the process of decision making?

     This is a Non-Govt. Aided College and the Principal of the College takes decisions in various matters having discussions with different Committees like, Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Purchase Committee and Financial Aid Committee etc. as per the Government Rules.

Norms for Discharge of Functions

     Any Letter, Public Application, Proposal received from Government Public Individual, Students and Staff are being entered in the Diary Register and referred to concerned Sections. Officers incharge, Committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different Officers incharge/ Bursars/ Heads of the concerned Officer I/C are put up before the Principal for approval/ sanctions after which being dispatched with number and date.
