     The District Welfare Office Cuttack started function after independence.

5) Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:

i) Supervision & Monitoring of Loan Scheme.
ii) Supervision and Monitoring of Pre-Matric Scholarship/ Post Matric Scholarship/ Merit-cum-Poverty Scholarship.
iii) Inspection of Activities of N.G.O. receiving G.I.A. from Government.
iv) Inspection of Offices as per O.R.V. Act as per program.
v) Distribution of monetary relief to S.C./ S.T. Victim in Atrocity cases.
vi) Inspection of High School/ Ashram School/ Sevashrams running under S.T. & S.C. Development Department.

vii) Implementation of FRA 2006 & distribution of titles thereof.

viii) Verification of Inter Caste marriage application for grant of incentive.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]

The procedure can be described both in narrative form and through Flow Process Chart. In narrative form the stages through which a proposal passes, the levels at which it gets examined and the final authority to which it has to go for approval may be explained.

The Flow Process Charts can give a comprehensive process as may be seen from the following illustration of disposal of letters.
