Objective/Purpose of the Public Authority:
To receive various letters, applications, memorandums from public for different works and issue of various Certificate to the public and monitoring all types of work of the Municipality / NAC of this district on behalf of Collector, Jagatsinghpur and disposal of above correspondences as per instruction of collector following the Guideline of Govt. for the purpose.
Mission / Vision Statement of the Public Authority:
To render service to the General public as well as subordinate offices as per instructions of Collector and Govt. Guidelines.
Brief history of the Public Authority and Context of its Formation:
The Gen. & Misc. being one of the sections of Collectorate, Jagatsinghpur since its inception on 01.04.1993.

Organizational Structure Diagram at various levels namely State, Directorate, Region District, Block etc. (whichever is applicable):

Expectation of the Public Authority from the Public for Enhancing its Effectiveness and Efficiency: NIL Arrangement and Methods made for Seeking Public Participation Contribution: NIL Mechanism Available for Monitoring the Service Delivery and Public Grievance Resolution: The Dealing Assistant after receipt of Public Grievances/letter from Grievance Cell/ from any office, immediately place it in file with Rule/Provision/ Act for quick disposal. Addresses of the main offices and other offices at different levels. Morning Hour of the office: 10.00 am
Closing hour of the office: 5.00pm

Norms for Discharge of Functions
[Section-4(1) (b) (iv)]
After receipt of a letter, the Dealing Assistant entere it in Log Book and placed in file. The same is examined as per Rule / Act by the Dealing Assistant and obtained the orders of the authority. In urgent nature of Letter the file placed to the authority on same day.
In ordinary nature of letter, the file placed to the authority, within three days for necessary action.
