Objective/Purpose of the Public Authority:

   To receive various letters, applications, memorandums from public for different works and issue of various Certificate to the public and monitoring all types of work of the Municipality / NAC of this district on behalf of Collector, Jagatsinghpur and disposal of above correspondences as per instruction of collector following the Guideline of Govt. for the purpose.

Mission / Vision Statement of the Public Authority:

   To render service to the General public as well as subordinate offices as per instructions of Collector and Govt. Guidelines.

Brief history of the Public Authority and Context of its Formation:

   The Gen.  & Misc. being one of the sections of Collectorate, Jagatsinghpur since its inception on 01.04.1993.

Gen. & Misc. Section of the Collectorate provides following services Like:

  1. Registration of Societies
  2. Verification and forwarding of application for issue of Pass Ports (Gen. /Tatkai) Scheme.
  3. Issue of Misc. Certificates.
  4. Processing of Freedom Fighter Pension papers.
  5. Issue of distress certificates under R.A. Scheme.
  6. Co-ordination   Census Work.
  7. Monitoring Matteers of Urban Local Bodies.
  8. Coordinating visit programme of VIPs/Secretaries/ Other Dignitaries to the district etc.

Norms for Discharge of Functions

[Section-4(1) (b) (iv)]

  After receipt of a letter, the Dealing Assistant entere it in Log Book and placed in file. The same is examined as per Rule / Act by the Dealing Assistant and obtained the orders of the authority. In urgent nature of Letter the file placed to the authority on same day.

  In ordinary nature of letter, the file placed to the authority, within three days for necessary action.
