Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1. Brief History of the Public Authority:
The main function of R.T.O. is Registration of Vehicle to give permits to good/ Contract carriages, Stage carriages (Buses) both T.P. & P.P. To give D/L of M.C., L.M.V H.G.V and Badge No. and also to give conductor license, check of the vehicle by T.I. and I.M.V.. As and when required to hold a mobile checking of the vehicle off road or vehicle, Disbursement of Pay/ D.A./ T.A. Provisional pension and other allowances of the staff both gazetted and non- gazetted officers.

a) To reach money towards taxes and fees of the vehicles.
b) Deposited the Revenue Money into the Treasury as well as disbursement of contingent bills in different heads.
c) To pay the Electric/ Telephone bills to the concerned Department in some fitness of Vehicle by I.M.V.

  1. Information Kiosk Machine is installed in Regional Transport Office Subarnapur for convenience of citizens which provides information regarding our type of services, required amount of fees and service charges, steps/flows involved in each services and their application status.
  1. This office provides a active Help-Desk to guide and help public which is running in working hours of office on all working days.
