1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization: Consolidation scheme has been introduced by the Govt. of Odisha, since 1973 for the purpose of improvement of agriculture. To regulate the said scheme, "The Odisha Consolidation of Holdings & Prevention of Fragmentation of Land Act 1972" has been enacted and "The Odisha consolidation of Holdings and Prevention of Fragmentation of Land Rules 1973" has also been framed there under. The aim of consolidation operation is to reduce the scattered part of the holdings so as to make them as compact as possible. In lieu of numerous consolidable lands lying scattered at distant places from each other, the Land Owner gets his lands in compact path called "Chaka" in rectangular size as far as practicable. Finally, Record of Rights and Map are published on the basis of final Consolidation Scheme. The land owners avail adequate opportunities to be associated themselves with the high throughout the consolidation scheme and is also get scope at different stages of consolidation operating for redressal of their claims. 2. History and Background of its Establishment: Consolidation work in puri area was started with effect from 5.8.1985 under Dy. Director, consolidation, Range with Head Quarters at bhubaneswar. The Revenue Deptt., Govt. of Odisha is the Administration Deptt. in respect of the office of the Dy. Director, Consolidation, puri Range. The Board of Revenue, Odisha Cuttack has got powers of superintendence and general control including issue of instructions for efficient and proper working of the scheme. The director of Consolidation, Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cuttack is the Head of Deptt for the Purpose of administrative and financial control. The Dy. Director, Consolidation and Consolidation Officers are Heads of officers of their respective officers for the said purpose. Office of the Dy. Director Consolidation, puri Range is functioning in his own building situated adjacent to fire station puri,near police line, vip road puri 3. Working Hours: The working hours of this office in from 10 AM to 5 PM with half-an-hour lunch break from 1.30 PM to 2 PM, on all working days. Morning offices are held in summer from 7 AM to 1 PM without lunch break as per Govt. orders
