1. Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:

     To act as the middle tier in established 3 tier PRIs as institutions of self government.

     Papadahandi Block has started functioning as per extension stage from 01-04-1958 and entered into its post stage -II phase. This Panchayat Samiti comprises of 22 Gram Panchayats covering 89 revenue village over and area of 475.32 Sqr Km. As per 2001 Census the total population of this Block is 1,11,057 out of which 11, 203 are SC; 63910 are ST and remaining 35,994 are others.
