1) Aims & Objectives of the Organization: This Organization i.e, Asst. Soil Conservation Office, Nuapada is governed by Odisha, Agriculture Dept. The main objective is to conserve Soil & Water with execution Watershed Management Programme for sustainable development of natural resources, increse of crop production with promotion of better Livelihood of the People. 2) Details of Service Rendered: Construction of Soil and Water Conservation Projects. Watershed Management Plantation RTI Forest Right Act Establishment of Field and Office Staff Duties of Misc. matters 3) Brief History & Background of its Establishment: Asst. Soil Conservation Office, Nuapada started functioning at Nuapada from Dt.24.08.1966. 4) Allocation of Business: Construction of Water Bodies Creation of Forest areas Watershed Management Soil Conservation & Capability Classification Stock & Store RTI matters Forest Right Act 5) Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission: Soil Survey & Capability Classification Watershed management Construction of WHS, D/W Misc. Tree Plantation Cashew Plantation Sisal Plantation Stock & Store RTI matters Forest Right Act
6) Details of Services Rendered:
This Dept. and its employees used to work as per rules and regulations framed by the Govt. in ORM 1964 and other relevant Act and Rules meant thereof as well as orders and circulars issued by the State Govt. from time to time.
7) Citizens' Interaction:
Asst. Soil Conservation Office is a bottom level hierarchy of Soil Conservation Directorate. Public/ Citizen are direct access to this Office every time. The Field functionaries also direct access to the Public in respect of different official works.

Situated at a distance of 15 km. from Chhattisgarh State Boarder and 14 km. from Bargarh District Boarder at NH-217 and 10 km. from Khariar Road to Nuapada. At/Po/Dist.-Nuapada.
10) Working Hour both for Office and Public:
Generally the office functions from 10 am. to 05 pm. with half an hour lunch break from 1.30 pm. to 2.00 pm. on all working days and on emergency functions rounded the clock. During summer season the office functions from 7.00 am. to 1.00 pm. without lunch break.
11) Public Interaction, if any:
From 10.00 am. to 5.00 pm. on all working days.
12) Grievance redressal mechanism:
On every Saturday the ASCO used to attend the Grievance of the public under Chairmanship of Collector, Nuapada.
