  MANUAL-1 

Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

  1. Aim and Objectives of the Office:
    i) For rendering Optimum Health Care Services in the interest of the public.
    ii) Management of Human Resource of the CHC.
    iii) To carry out all the national health programmes as and when required.
    iv) To maintain all the files, registers, reports and other related vital documents in the office.
  1. Mission/ Vision:

To make the block (Narasinghpur of Cuttack District) an ideal block in terms of health.

3. Allocation of Business:

Funds are allocated for the CHC in following different heads:

i. Salary & Emoluments: Funds received from Directorate of Health Services, Odisha, Bhubaneswar under different heads of accounts.
ii) RogiKalyanSamiti: Funds received from District Health Society, Cuttack time to time for welfare of the patient, repair & renovation of the hospital.
iii) Funds received towards organisation of different health programmes through Office of the Chief District Medical Officer, Cuttack.

4. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:

a) Vertical feedback from higher authority (CDMO, Cuttack)

i) Guidance is being taken from the CDMO, Cuttack to execute health activities within the block.

ii) Health activities are undertaken in liaison with other line department.

iii) For better management of health activities in the block upto the village level, all the health functionaries, i.e. from the ASHA level to Sector M.Os. all have been fixed up their responsibilities.

6. Map of Office Location:

The CHC is located by 120 KMs. away from District Head Quarter, Cuttack and 1 KMs. away from Block Office, Narasinghpur.

7. Working Hours for Office and Public:

Office: 10:00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. (during emergency it remains open as and when required)

Public: 08.00 A.M. to 12 Noon (All the Year Round)04.00 P.M. to 06.00 P.M. (October to March)03.00 P.M. to 05.00 P.M. (April to September)

8. Public Interaction, if Any:

Public Interaction is taken up as and when required.

9. Grievance Redress Mechanism:

Every Saturday a time (03.30 P.M. to 05.30 P.M.) has been fixed to address the grievances of the staffs as well as public in the office of the M.OI/C.
