Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

  1. Aim and objectives of the Organization:

Angul Commercial Division of Odisha Forest Development Corporation Limited started function from 22nd  February 1976. Aska Commercial Division merged with this Division with effect from 1st July 2001 and is presently functioning as Bhanjanagar Division. Three (3) Nos of Sub-Division are functioning under this Division as follows: -

Bhanjanagar  Sub-Division

Tarasing Sub-Division

Sorada Sub-Division

  1. The aim & objectives of the Division is to supervise the work of different trades I business etc.

  2. To carry out the business of timber/firewood by Angul Bhanjanagar Division and supply of timber & firewood to sale depots to meet the demand of Public as well as traders for their domestic uses &trading purpose at the rate fixed by Govt.

  3. The organization is also undertaking Two types of Plantations are executed by OFDC , Ltd. Bhanjanagar Division in general out of the funds provided by different agencies.

  1. Sale and Supply of MFP items to public.

  2. Various tree felling projects coming under Forest & Revenue Land as directed by the concerned DFO and State/Central Agencies.

  3. Any other trade as suggested by the O.H. Corporate office/Govt, from time to time.

3.Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:

All the staff has been assigned to do their duties to achieve the target and mission to the best interest of timber, Firerwood trade & Plantation activities. The Divisional Manager finalizes different appeal cases of staff of Division as per the O.F.D.C service rules in vogue.

Interaction of citizens under RTI Act & also in general are being conducted at Divisional level.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

Flow Process Chart for disposal of letters:

When a letter is received in the Divisional Office by the receiving Officer immediately, he passes the same to the Divisional Manager for perusal and return. Then the letter passed through regular process such as received, marking to sections with comments for disposal of the application/letter through concerned section. The details are furnished below.
