Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

 

1) Brief History of the Public Authority & Context of its formation:

  The Technical Training Institute Takatpur was started in the year 15th October 1957 to meet the  increasing demand of craftsman during the second plan period.

  The Institute has been upgraded Under the scheme "Up-gradation of 1396 Govt. ITI through
  Public Private Partnership" by DGE&T, Ministry of Labour & Employment Govt. of India, New Delhi.

This Institute has taken a new dimension at this stage after it has been upgraded into Public Private Partnership in respect of infrastructural facilities with additional workshop, class room, toilets for boys & girls, good drainage system, beautiful environment. A very good well equipped sophisticated Communication Lab for improving the communication Skill of the trainees.

a. This Institute has now reached a new horizon in respect of following achievements:

i) Entry of good and meritorious students into different CTS trades.
ii) The training quality has been improved due to intake of meritorious students.
iii) The pass out rate has been increased.
iv) More nos. of Industries are attracted for conducting campus interview & seminars.
v) Rate of placement is gradually increasing.
vi) More nos. of trainees are joining higher study through Lateral Entry system.
vii) A good placement cell looking after the placement activities, creating awareness, conducting pre-placement preparations and interacting with Industries.
