1. Brief History & Background of its Establishment:
Bhadrak Autonomous College is a Govt. Educational institution imparting higher education in graduation and post-graduation level. This is one of the premier educational institutions of Onssa, established in 1948. It extends teaching facilities in Humanities. Social Sciences, Physical Sciences. Commerce and the latest fields like Computer Science.
Bhadrak Junior College with its bifurcation from the degree college has been functioning in the building of the Bhadrak Autonomous and in the same establishment.
2. Aim & Objectives of the Organization:
The main objective of this institution is to disseminate knowledge to the students in different fields. Simultaneously this institution also aims at the overall development of the students: physical mental & moral. State and National level seminars and external lecturers are organized time to time for the betterment of the students to be mentally, educationally & intellectually fit. There are also many societies and associations related to social service and cultural programmes. N.C.C., N.S.S., Red Cross etc. incite vigor, enthusiasm and feeling of national integration in the students. This college also publishes an annual multilingual magazine to develop creativity in them.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process
[Section-4 (1) (b) (iii)]
This is a Government autonomous College and the Principal of the college takes decisions in various matters having discussions with different committees like Admission Committee, Examination Committee. Development Committee, Purchase Committee and Financial aid Committee, Residential Committee, Students Discipline Committee etc. as per the Government rules/ University rules/ UGC guidelines.

Norms for Discharge of Functions
[Section-4 (1) (b) (iv)]
Any letter, Public application, proposal received from Government, Public, Individual, Students and Staff are being entered in the diary register and referred to concerned sections, Officers in Charge, Committees for examination and submission of the compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different officers in charge/ Bursars/ controller of Examination/ Heads of the concerned Departments are put to the Principal for approval/ sanctions after which being dispatched with number and date.
