Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1. Name of the Institution:
Government I.T.I., Jajpur, At-Upper Baruan,
Po- Kabirpur, Ps- Jajpur Sadar, Dist- Jajpur, Pin-755009

Location:

The Institution is located at 7 Kms.distance from the District Head Quarter, Jajpur Town, Jajpur Block of Upper Baruan Panchayat. It is also 8 Kms from Kuakhia, i.e. NH16.

History of the Institute:

Govt. Odisha in Industries Department (Now Skill Development & Technical Education) aiming at women empowerment and boys employment to provide skilled work force to the market established ITI, Jajpur during mid of 2015 in the city of Odisha. After riding long steps during subsequent years of success Govt. self the road for candidate to be trained along with girls. The nomenclature has been named as Govt. ITI, Jajpur, where in both boys and girls are getting ample scope in getting industry specific training.

Also with the assistance of World Bank and State Govt. funding the ITI curriculum has been enhanced to an apex place and this ITI is having 4 trades. These trades bearing employment potential for the youth and stress have been laid on woman & PWD.

The rising trend of this institution providing No.1 Place in the state as commented by different visiting officers in and outside of the Country. This is not least many more paths to go in providing skill training to the youth till skilled in Odisha to achieve.

This institute is functioning Under the administrative control of Directorate of Technical Education &Training and the Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The trade syllabus has been designed by DGT, New Delhi and the certification is under NCVT, New Delhi. This institute provides Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) in the trade of Electrician, Fitter, Welder & MMV to meet the skilled professional requirements for Technology and Industrial growth of the country.

List of services being provided by the Public Authority

The institution offers 02 (Two) years 01(One years) Technical Training courses of Trades like Fitter, Electrician, MMV &Welder respectively  with intake capacity of  Fitter, Electrician &Welder trade each 40 and 24 in MMV trade at total 144 seat respectively.
