Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties
[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]
1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
Promotion of:
i) Small Scale Industries.
ii) Handicraft and Cottage Industries.
iii) Self Employment to unemployed Youths.
2. Mission/ Vision:
India as well as Odisha is facing a difficult task for creating enough employment opportunities for unemployed Youths. D.I.C. create employment opportunities through:
i) Prime Ministers Rojogar Yojana/ Prime Ministers' Employment Generation Programme.
ii) Gramodyoga Rajagar Yojana of OK & VIB & KVIC.
iii) Small Scale Industries.
iv) Schemes of Handicraft and Cottage Industries for creating employment opportunities for rural artisans.
3. Brief History and Background of D.I.C.:
After creation of Deogarh District in 1994, a branch office of DIC started functioning under over all supervision of G.M. DIC Sambalpur. Later on Govt. approved for opening of new full fledged DIC in the newly created districts. DIC Deogarh started functioning in Deogarh District with effect from 5th January 2000.
4. Allocation of Business & Service rendered:
i) Issue of Entrepreneur Memorandum No. I.
ii) Issue of Entrepreneur Memorandum No. II.
iii) Reporting of GIP of MSME and Handicraft & Cottage Industries.
iv) Sponsoring of loan proposals to financing institution.
v) Implementation of Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and various schemes related to Handicraft sector.
vi) Recommendation of proposals for land.
vii) Initiating proposals of incentives.
viii) Recovery of Govt. Loans/ dues and helping Bankers in Loan recovery.
ix) Development of in Industries sector and Revival of sick Industries.
x) Helping in preparation of project reports.
xi) Providing technical inputs to the entrepreneur
xii) Disposing off all certificate cases relating to PMRY.
5. Citizens' Interaction:
i) Interaction with MSME/ H&CI entrepreneur on all working days.
ii) Interaction in Industrial campaign and training.
iii) Interaction with borrowers in recovery camps.
iv) Interaction with citizens in grievances on every Saturday (except 2nd Saturday& holiday)

10 A.M. to 5 P.M. with ½ an hour lunch break during all working days except summer season. In Summer season office hour is from 7.00 AM to 1.00 PM without lunch break.
9. Grievance Redressal Mechanism:
DIC Deogarh has fixed on all Saturdays of all working days (except 2nd Saturdays & holiday) for grievance hearing.
10. Organization Chart:
Note: DIC Deogarh is headed by G.M. DIC & assisted by IPO as dealing Astt. for dealing all industrial related works & G.M. DIC reports to Collector & District Magistrate, Deogarh in the Dist. Level and to Director of Industries Odisha, Cuttack at the state level.
