1. Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:

    Gram Panchayat is the Local self Governance at the grassroot level, established through enactment of legislation i.e. The Odisha Gram Panchayat Act 1964. As an institution of self Govt. betterment of rural life is the main aims & objective aim of the organization. This institution is instrumental in bringing changes in rural areas. To supervise & conduct the PRI Election.

2. Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:

a) To achieve rural prosperity and to ensure quality life and qualitative livelihood for the rural poor.
b) To implement schemes for the upliftment of rural poor.

3. Brief History of the Public Authority and Context of its Formation:

    An act was enacted by the state legislature in the Tenth year of the Republic of India i.e.1960 to establish District Panchayat Office in the state of Odisha.

 4. Duties of the Public Authority:

    Supervision of 3-Tire PRIs Election, that is Sarpanch Samiti member & Zila parisad.

5. Main activity/function of the public authority:

   To supervise & conduct the PRI Election.

6. List of services being provided by the public authority with a brief write-up on them:

    Every working Monday is grievance day to hear the grievance of Public.

7. Organizational Structure diagram at various levels namely state, directorate, region district, block etc.

      The head of the public authority takes the final decision on the subject as per the powers and duties assigned. Various laid down procedures of Government and different levels are being followed while taking a decision on various matters. All decisions which affect public are disseminated to the public through various means of communication.
