Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Brief history of the Institution:
Panchayat Samiti Degree College, Bangomunda having been established in the year 1999, stands for imparting Higher Education to Educationally Backward pupils of Bangomunda Panchayat Samiti. From reality point of view the very setting up this institution is essential to cater the crying need of acquiring Higher Education. So the college is only Degree College to serve the everlasting purpose of student’s community of this locality.
2. Aim & Objectives of the Institution:
Basically it aims at educating socially and economically weaker sections which constitute about 90% of the Panchayat Samiti Bongamunda.
3.Strength of the Institution:
Since its inception with few number of students were enrolled, but at present it is enriched with the strength of more than 900 students. Now it is running with having two Streams (Arts & Commerce).
4.List of services
The college has no professional oriented courses.
5.Main activities/ functions of the Institution:
College is affiliated with UGC and comes under 2(f) & 12(b) category. The college becomes Aided Educational Education under GIA Order 2008.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

1. What is the Procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other Rules/ Regulations etc. can be made).
Ans-The college Principal takes decisions having discussion with various committees like admission, examination, purchase & all others.

Norms for Discharge of Functions

Any letter, public application, proposals received from Govt., Public, individuals, students & Staff are being entered in the diary register referred to concerned sections,officer I/C, committees,for examination and submission of compliance in the related files. The file duly routed through the different officer in charge/Bursars/ Vice Principal/ Head of the Concerned depts. are put up before the principal for necessary approval/sanction after which being despatched with number & date.
