Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1. Aims and Objective:

R.D.W Jr. College, the premier +2 college of the State and Centre of excellence,  caters to the dreams and academic aspiration of the girl students of our state.

It aims at providing quality education and providing unique academic environment. It continuous to attract bright etc. girls students from Odisha and the neighboring states. It provides a platform to nature and promote the inner creative skills of the students through the pages of “Arunima”, The Annual Magazin. It seeks to instill the value of discipline, punctuality, obedience and delignece in the students, games & Sports, Cultural activities , NSS, Youth Red Cross, Rovers & Rangers, Yoga,  Environmental education, self defence training and computers education are the integral part of the all round development of the student personality.

2.The College Insignia:

The Motto of R.D.W Junior College “Tamoso Mang Jyotirgomaya” in Sanskrit enshrined in the college insignia means “Trough is Immortal”.

The college crest comprises a multiforliate lotus, uncirculated by the sun diffusing its rays has a deep spiritual significance.

3. Brief History of College:

As per the recommendation in the National Policy in education 1986, state Govt. of Odisha decided to separate +2 wings from the Degree College vide resolution NO.33500/Eys. Dated 31.07.1989, Further on receipt of the G.O.No. 29412/HE dated 15-05.2001 Issued on behalf of Higher Education Dept., +2 classes in Arts, Science & Commerce of RDW Jr. College was separated with effect from the academic session 2000-01( vide Govt. Order No. 12436/HE dated 10-06-2015) since 30.5.2015 offer the updation of RDW Autonomous College to University the Jr. College in functioning in the some building Separately. 

4. RDW Junior College at a Glance:
The Location of the College. The college is located at Bhoinagar, Unit-IX, Bhubaneswar,PIN-751022 in the City of  Bhubaneswar and  the Present is officiating in the morning shift in the Buildings and infrastructure  shared with RDW University, Bhubaneswar.

10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M

Principal along with 29 faculty members as well as 06 Nos of  Non-Teaching Staff.

8. Library Facility:

The college Library belongs to both University and Jr. College  of Rama devi Women’s College library opens at 9.00 A.M to 4.30 P.M. and  reading room open at 10.30 A.M. to 3.00 P.M. for the students on evening working day. Books  are issued to the students to different classes on a fixed date . The library is completely computerized fro easy access of the students.
