Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)] 

1) Aims and Objectives of the Organisation:-

a) To augment revenue of the State Exchequer.
b) To eradicate Excise crime.
c) To give importance on hygienic liquor for consumption.
d) Collection of Excise revenue and eradication of Excise crimes.
e) To educate on de-addiction renunciation of spurious liquor and establishment of safe alcohol standard.

2) Mission/ Vision:-

a) Collection of Excise revenue and eradication of Excise crimes.
b) To educate on de-addiction renunciation of spurious liquor and establishment of safe alcohol standard.

3) Brief History and Background for its Establishment:-

This office is functioning since independence and working independently.

4) Details of services Rendered:-

 a) Prohibition on entry of Non-duty paid and duplicate liquor.

b) Detection of NDPS cases and destruction of hemp plants

c) 100% collection of Excise Revenue. 
d) Total utilization of manpower.

5) Citizens' Interaction:-

   Positive suggestions are taken cared of grievances of citizen are mitigated through enforcement and consumption of liquor are given priority to.

10) Grievance:-

All the grievance application received from general public are timely disposing in the office. 

9) Public Interaction, if Any:

a) Since it is a quasi police organization informers are set to inform prior to enforcement. 
b) Public are welcome to ventilate their grievances at any time during office hours.

10) Grievance Redress Mechanism:

   Normally 1st part of Saturday is kept for hearing and disposal of grievances. Grievances received from different quarters are promptly looked in to and disposed off within the time frame.
