O/o the Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation Limited is located at Bhubaneswar.
This office comes under the Department of Fisheries & ARD, Govt. of Odisha.
The main function is to expand the fish net manufacturing unit with addition of modern plant and machineries to cope with the demand for fish nets.

Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties
[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]
1. Aim and Objectives of the Organization:
i. To establish the Corporation as a commercial and viable public sector undertaking in the field of fish seed production and marketing with modernization and expansion of the existing fish seed hatchery projects matching with the demand of the fish farmers of the state.
ii. To expand the fish Net Manufacturing Unit commensuration with the demand of fishing Nets by both inside the state and the neighboring states by setting up new High speed Modern machines through trained manpower.
iii. To ensure supply of pure diesel and lubricants on approved rate to the small fishing boats & commercial fishing trawlers operating along the coast through its out lets to increase in the marine catch and enhance marine export through the fisherman in the state.
2. Mission/ Vision:
i. To ensure production & supply of quality fish seed to the fish farmers and fishing nets to the fisherman of the state at reasonable price to promote commercial growth of the fish seed units & expansion of the existing Fish seed hatchery projects & fish Net Manufacturing Unit.
ii. To promote new mega fish seed hatchery projects commensuration with the demand of fish seed.
iii. To expand the fish net manufacturing unit with addition of modern plant and machineries to cope with the demand for fish nets.
iv. To enhance potential of human resources to meet the technical need of the corporation.
v. To foster creativity & term work.
vi. To become a leader in commercial fish seed production and marketing organization in the State of Odisha.
3. Brief History and Background:
The Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation Ltd. Was instituted as a Govt. of Odisha undertaking in the year 2998 with amalgamation of the erstwhile Odisha Fish seed Development Corporation Ltd. & OMCAD Corporation Ltd. It was registered as a Govt. of Odisha undertaking under Companies Act 1956. Since its inception the Corporation has taken up three commercial activities through its different units as detailed below:
i. Fish Seed Production through establishment of Fish Seed Hatchery Projects by the Corporation as well as Hatcheries transferred by Govt. of Odisha to the Corporation for operation.
ii. Commercial production of fishing nets with establishment of a Net manufacturing Unit at the Industrial Estate, Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar, which has been adjudged as a certified ISO Unit.
Commercial sale of quality Diesel and other petroleum products to fishermen and fishing trawlers through its coastal networking of DOLs as well as for surface transport vehicles at Baripada & chhatrapur.
