MANUAL-1 

Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (I)]

1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization:
i. To develop quality Education in primary level.
ii. To ensure free & compulsory Primary Education among the age from 6 to 14 years of children.
iii. To stop drop outs.
iv. To make right to Education Act (RTE) a grant success.

2. Mission/ Vision:
The mission is to develop free & compulsory education from primary level. No one should be deprived of such scope.

3. Brief history & background of its establishment:
The Block Education office, Saharpada established in the Year 2013 being bifurcated from B.D.O Saharpada and D.I.S, Keonjhar and functioning independently.

4. Allocation of Business:
Development of free & compulsory primary education.

5.  Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:
The organization discharges its duties for the good of the public. The function & duties are as follows:
i. School inspection
ii. Payment of salary, pension etc.
iii. Sanction of leave, GPF, increment etc.
iv. Approval of school committee.
v. Appointment, transfer & promotion of teachers
vi. Conduct of UP Common examination & primary scholarship examination.
vii. Award of scholarship & disbursement of scholarship amount.

6. Details of services rendered:
The service rendered to public is as follows:
i. Preparation of bills
ii. General Provident Fund
iii. Provisional pension
iv. Disbursement of scholarship

7. Citizen's interaction:
Interaction with citizens, block wise science exhibition, TLM exhibition, school annual function, school committee (VEC) meeting etc.

11. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
All sorts of grievance petitions are entertained during office hours. They are disposed off by appointing enquiry officers and fixing a grievance day once in a week.
