1. History & Mission of the Public Authority:

 Office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Roads & Building Sub -Division, Nilgiri is located at Nilgiri Town in the District of Balasore, Odisha. It is functioning under works department for construction, development and maintenance of PWD road network of Nilgiri, Oupada & Remuna  Blocks on which the pace and pattern of development rests. The focus, therefore, is to improve the living condition for rural people by providing all whether road communication to inaccessible areas and upgrading the existing road network. The development of Agriculture, small scale and cottage industries, extension of public distribution networks, improving access to health care and education, to a large extent, depend upon stable all weather roads communication. Above all, good roads improve the accessibility of the rural areas to markets and facilitate better delivery road linkages to rural settlements as per the Government of Odisha norms and guidelines.

Nilgiri (R&B) Sub-Division under Works Deptt., is concerned the Assistant Executive Engineer as the Sub Division in charge is directly under the control of the Executive Engineer, Balasore (R&B) Division There are 3 No of Section Officer in the rank of Assistant Engineer  are directly under the control of the Assistant Executive Engineer.
