1. Brief History of the Public Authority:
Govt. Nodal High School,Tungamal is a Government Educational Institution imparting education to Co-education level. This institution was established in the year 1980 in the District of Deogarh. It extends teaching facilities in Humanities, Social Science etc. The main objective of this institution is to disseminate knowledge to the Boys and Girls students in different fields. Simultaneously it aims for all round development of the Boys & Girls Physical, Mental and Moral. Games and sports are also an integral part of this institution which inspires the students to be physically fit.

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

1. Who are the Officers at various levels whose opinions are sought for the process of decision making?

This is a Govt. School and the Headmaster of the School takes decision in various matters having discussion with different committees like Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Purchase Committee and Financial Aid Committee, SMC, SMDC etc. as per the Govt. Rules.

The school functions in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Department of School & Mass Education, Government of Odisha. 

1. Academic Management

The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Annual academic calendar is prepared, and classes are conducted as per the timetable.

Regular assessments and examinations are held according to board guidelines.

 

2. Administrative Functions

The headmaster, teachers, and staff perform duties as per government service rules.

Committees like the School Management Committee (SMC) and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) are involved in decision-making.

Financial matters, including grants and expenses, are managed as per government norms and audited periodically.

 

3. Student Welfare & Discipline

Mid-day meals are provided as per government norms.

Scholarships and other welfare schemes are implemented as per eligibility criteria.

Discipline is maintained through school rules, and issues are addressed by the disciplinary committee.

Particulars of Arrangement in Formulation of Policy

The policies of Tungamal High School, Tungamal, Deogarh, are formulated in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of School & Mass Education, Government of Odisha. :

1. Policy-Making Authorities

Policies are framed based on directives from the Government of Odisha and the School & Mass Education Department.

The Headmaster, in consultation with the School Management Committee (SMC), formulates school-level policies.

Inputs from teachers, parents, and local authorities are considered in decision-making.

2. Procedure for Policy Formulation

Circulars and guidelines from the education department are reviewed.

Meetings are held with the SMC, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and other stakeholders.
