Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims and objectives of the organization:
Panchayat Samiti was formed for development the community and rehabilitation of rural poor. When it was formed there were not less than 75% of the population under poverty line. It was planned to uplift the social and economical status of the rural poors. In due course of time with different schemes of state, central, Govt and international funds. It is the aim of this organization to have an achievement for the development and rehabilitation of rural people.
2. Mission / Vision:

It is the aim of this organization to have an achievement for the development and rehabilitation of rural people.
3. Brief history & Background for its establishment:
The Panchayat Samiti has been started and functioning with effect from 01.07.1959
4. Allocation of business:
Panchayat Samiti is the sole organization established by the central govt for upliftment of rural poors. It is right hand of Govt. to execute various types of development works in the rural area. There are various types of work assigned to this organization. In the duration of time with changing nomenclatures. This organization is existing projects under MGNREGA, SGSY, IAY, MOKUDIA, GGY, TFC, WODC etc. works in accordance with rule and regulation formed by the Govt. in the long run. These are the schemes through which Govt. are providing funds and it is utilized in different areas of the Panchayat Samiti for the achievement set target.
5. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:
To achieve the mission provided to the organization, different formalities are mentioned lend by the Govt. During mentioning these formalities this organization has to go to grass root so that the poorest of poor should not be deprived up from getting the benefit provided by the Govt. It is the first and foremost duty of this organization to develop the rural poors.
6. Details of service rendered:
No of Govt. officials are engaged to perform their duties through the organization and other PRI members from grass root. All these officials and elected members are the soldiers of the organization. They should devote their times and services for utilization and achievement of schemes provided by the Govt. for the better development of the rural poor.
7. Citizen Interaction:
It is not only the duties of the Govt. employees to achive the target given by the Govt. but also the elected members and other citizens are responsible to achive the target. It is not only practicable to go ahead with the aim and objective of the nation to have a better life through the Govt. employees and the elected members only ,the villages & rural poors are also responsible to co-operate with all these schemes which are under progress for the development.
8. Postal Office of the main office attached/subordinate office/field units etc:

9. Working hours both for office and public: The Govt. has prescribed the working hours of the office from 10 A.M to 5 P.M and in summer (from April 10th to June 15th), the working hour is 7 A.M to 1 P.M. 10. Public interaction if any:
The organization is fully dependent upon public. As per the aim of the organization, it is for the public, Govt. are programming different schemes. So that the social and economical status of the rural people can be developed. So when implementing all schemes, it is necessary that public should co-operate the Govt. Official and their representatives . But it is a matter of regret that the officials are not getting much co operation from the public. Still then Govt. official has to achieve the target provided by Govt.
11. Grievance redness mechanism:
The mechanism utilized for the grievance redressal from lower quarter to higher quarter are disposed off with power rules and regulation. It is a fact that now a days it is the habit of the public to put grievances in different manner which is baseless. Still the grievances are being enquired into and proper measures have been taken of by the Govt. official in due course.
