Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

1) Aim and Objective of the Organization:

     The main aims and objectives of this Betnoti Tahasil is to keep updation of land records i.e. correction of R.O.R., Mutation Proceedings, Collection of land revenue. Besides, it deals with issue of various Misc. Certificates to desired person like Residential, Caste, Income, Legal heirs, Solvency etc., issue of Land Pass Book to Land Holding families, issue of information to public, allotment of House Site to Homest- eadless persons, Agriculture land to land less persons, Lease of land to various Organizations and  to deal with emergency nature of work like Flood, Cyclone, Natural calamities. Above and all land based work are done here.

2) Brief History and back ground for its Establishments:

    This Betnoti Tahasil started functioning with effect from 1.10.1963 having 10 numbers of R.I. Circles from its inception. Subsequently, it has been bifurcated to two Tahasil after creation and emergence of Rasagobindapur Tahasil since 1.10.1983. As per Govt. of Revenue and Excise Department Notification No.34053/Rev. dated 3.8.1996. Manatri R.I. Circle of Betnoti Tahasil has been separated and tagged with Badsahi Tahasil with effect from 15.81996.

    This Tahasil is situated at Betnoti at a distance of 30 Kms away from District Headaquarters, that is Baripada and 100 yards from N.H.-5 and it is 225 Kms from State Headquarter, Bhubaneswar. It is functioning in its own building.

4) Working hours both for Office and Public:

Morning Office- 7 A.M. to 1 P.M. on all working days.
Day Office- 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. on all working days for office and public.

5) Grievance redresses mechanism:

     Redressal petitions from public are being received through Single Window system as well as personally by Tahasildar or from Dist. Office/ Sub-Division and enquired it through field functionaries within 15 days and action is being taken on the matter as per law and reply is being sent to proper quarters in time. A receipt with date line of action is givens to each P.G. Cell Petitioner with a s particular I,D. Number to each individual application. So that the service delivery system is more reliable efficient and Citizen Friendly.
