Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)]

Aim & Objective of the Organization:

To establish three tire Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) as institutions of Self Government and to help them in making overall development of their respective areas.

Mission/ Vision:

To enable PRIs to plan and implement schemes for economic development of rural poor. To achieve rural prosperity and ensure quality life through PRIs.

Brief History and Back ground of the Establishment:

Pipili Block covers area of Acre................located adjacent to NH 203 started functioning since 1950 under Puri district. On East if touch to field area of Nimapada Block, on West Delang Block, on South Satyabadi Block and on North Balakati Block. Initially this Block started with 16 Gram Panchayat and at present after expansion of Gram Panchayat it is having 19 Gram Panchayat. Pipili Block is 20 Kim's. From State Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. (Block Map enclosed)

Allocation of Business: The establishment helps the public for their upliftment through various Govt. schemes.

Duties of the Public Authority:

Empowerment of Panchayat Raj institutions. To provides funds to PRIs, to carry out development works and poverty alleviation programmes in rural areas.

Details of Service rendered:

The Department provides basic service in critical areas under finance commission grants which is normally not taken up under different on going schemes. This Department provides Rural housing for BPL families under IAY.

Grievance is being heard  on each Monday of week from 10 AM to 1 PM  at Block Head Quarter . Action as deems proper is being taken for redressal of grievance.
